Thursday 11/15

Today ended up being very chaotic, as Ian totally refused to nap and we ended up spending almost two hours in the car helping Norm and Lia, since Elizabeth was in the hospital. I tried to get Ian to go up for his nap a little early, since we had to leave to pick up Lia by 2:45 and he just wouldn’t settle. He did doze on my lap and slept for maybe 5 minutes, but that was it. So I let him rest in front of the tv until it was time to go. Unfortunately, but the time, we picked up Lia, went to her house to get a book for her homework, picked up Norm at the hospital and took him to the car dealership where he was having his car repaired, it was almost 5:00 before we got home. Ugh. It was David’s game night, so I didn’t even get a break there. Plus, we had to cancel our playdate with Catherine and Ana. I did take Ian up early for his bath and bed and he was asleep by 7:30, so that was some relief. Overall, a very tiring day. Elizabeth ended up being OK, just an issue with her medication, but they didn’t let her go until after dinner.
